Voting YES on 6
Supports Sylvania Seniors
The Sylvania Township Trustees unanimously voted to replace the current 5-year .42 mill levy, which had been in place since 2015, with a new 5-year .50 mill levy on the November 2025 ballot.
We’re asking to replace the Senior Center’s current levy with a new one to reflect 10 years of rising costs and a growing demand.
Approximately 1 in 4 Americans is 60+, with 12,000 people turning 60 daily. This figure is part of a larger trend of the aging American population, with a significant number of baby boomers reaching retirement age. The Sylvania Senior Center averages over 300 participants per day. This year, they have already had 416 new participants in the first 7 months of 2025. That is 87% of the new participants’ number for 2024. This indicates that the services provided at the Sylvania Senior Center will become increasingly important and necessary.
